TMJ

The temporo-mandibular joint is the most used joint in the entire body. It affects our ability to talk, chew and swallow. When the lower jaw is not in proper position, it can create clicking noises, locked jaw, joint pain, headache, stiff neck and shoulder aches.

People with temporo-mandibular disfunction normally grind or clench their teeth, which can result in hypersensitive, ground down or broken teeth and gum recession.

These symptoms are often caused by a restricted and smaller upper dental arch, which pushes the lower jaw towards the joints. Through simple procedures, the lower jaw can be repositioned, providing relief of jaw joint symptoms for a majority of patients.
